The Ninja MultiPot XL vs PossibleCooker choice is about your dinner routine: two separate dishes, or one large batch? This comparison covers the US MultiPot XL MZ1001PU3 in Stone Purple and PossibleCooker Pro Plus MC2001 in Blue Macaron. Neither is a pressure cooker or an air fryer.

Quick verdict

Choose MultiPot XL if two separate dishes are a regular need. Its two small pots can cook at different settings, or you can swap in one large pot. That flexibility is the reason to pay more, not the number of functions.

Choose PossibleCooker Pro Plus for a single big family meal. It has the larger individual pot. If your usual dinner is one stew, pasta dish or batch of pulled meat, the simpler layout is our editorial pick. Existing PossibleCooker owners should upgrade only if they will actually use two zones.

MultiPot capacity: three pots, but not three at once

Ninja MultiPot XL with two 3.3-quart cooking pots fitted and the alternative 7.5-quart pot displayed separately

The exact Stone Purple MultiPot shown with two small pots fitted and the large pot separately. Use the large pot OR the two small pots. Manufacturer imagery: SharkNinja; composition: Decively.

MultiPot includes one 7.5qt pot and two 3.3qt pots. The approximately 14qt figure sometimes shown in comparisons adds up the supplied containers; it is not simultaneous cooking capacity. In two-pot mode, you have 6.6qt split into two compartments.

Our practical example: rice in one side and a saucy main in the other, with settings suited to each recipe. You gain separation and control, but lose the uninterrupted space of the big pot. A large roast cannot borrow room from the neighbouring small pot. If separate dishes are rare in your house, this is flexibility you may seldom use.

PossibleCooker: a better fit for one large meal

The MC2001 control panel shows its single-pot cooking functions, including Slow Cook, Rice/Pasta and Sous Vide. Exact-model manufacturer imagery: SharkNinja; crop: Decively.

The 8.5qt PossibleCooker pot is 1qt larger than MultiPot’s biggest pot. That makes it the more sensible layout for one large recipe. Check the recipe’s fill requirements: the nominal size does not mean every dish can safely use the entire volume.

Ninja’s MC2001 product details and pictured panel list Slow Cook, Sear/Sauté, Bake, Braise, Proof, Sous Vide, Steam, Rice/Pasta and Keep Warm. Do not buy it expecting two independent heat zones or use another PossibleCooker model’s mode list as a substitute.

What real cooking evidence tells us

Gear Diary’s Travis Ehrlich reported making Spanish rice and refried beans in separate MultiPot pots, and highlighted the convenience of different temperatures and easy cleanup. The review used a manufacturer-supplied sample and did not test all twelve modes, so treat it as useful early hands-on evidence, not a controlled comparison.

We did not find a credible controlled head-to-head test of these exact two US models. Ninja’s MultiPot speed claims compare it with a named Crock-Pot, not MC2001. The extra 100W does not establish a cooking-speed or browning winner. Our recommendation rests on the cooking layout, rather than an invented performance advantage.

Counter space, cleanup and the price premium

Ninja lists a 13.08 × 17.87-inch footprint and 19.42lb weight for MultiPot, versus 16.34 × 14.45 inches and 12.26lb for MC2001. Allow room for the handles and for opening the lids, not just the base. MultiPot is the heavier appliance to lift into a cupboard.

The MultiPot pots nest for storage, but cooking with both small pots creates two cooking vessels to wash. Ninja lists dishwasher-safe MultiPot pots and lids. Follow each model’s care instructions and keep electrical bases out of the oven and dishwasher; the oven rating belongs to the removable pot.

Pay the current price premium only if using two zones will simplify dinners often enough. If you mostly want pressure cooking, neither solves that need; our Instant Pot vs PossibleCooker comparison explains the different approach. These are US packages: check local voltage, warranty and model details rather than assuming an 11-in-1 European version is identical.

Quick answers before you choose

Is MultiPot XL bigger than PossibleCooker? It has more supplied pots, but a smaller largest individual pot. Choose by the size and number of dishes you cook, not the sum of the containers.

Can either replace an air fryer? No. Shallow frying or baking in a pot is not the same as a dedicated hot-air frying system. Neither model here pressure-cooks.

Which should a family buy? MultiPot for regularly separate dishes; PossibleCooker for one larger batch. For a working PossibleCooker owner, two-zone cooking is the meaningful upgrade question.
